Injury Notes, Open Cup Tonight

If the mixed bag result from last Thursday in Toronto wasn't enough, the Dynamo are now facing a wave of injuries that could cause issues for Dominic Kinnear as the team movies in to a busy July.

Luis Landin leads the walking wounded list with right knee strain, which according to Chris Canetti, will keep the forward out of action for 2-4 weeks. Brad Davis missed Thursday's match with a left hip flexor and his will not be available for tonight's Open Cup match against Chivas USA

Joseph Ngwenya will be unavailable for Saturday's match against Columbus, but not due to injury. He will be serving a one-match suspension after his confrontation with Toronto's Julian DeGuzman that led to both players receiving a straight red card.

The Dynamo host Chivas USA tonight in a U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinal match. The winner faces the winner of the Galaxy v. Sounders match. Houston is 8-0-3 in their last eleven matches against Chivas USA and have never lost them at Robertson Stadium. Houston is attempting to make the Open Cup semifinals for the third time since the move from San Jose, they have you yet to make it past the semifinal round, falling to Los Angeles in 2006 and Seattle in 2009.
