Eek

Well, I hope most of us realize that best-case scenario we’ll be first-round fodder, at least based on our play over the course of the season. It would still be exciting as hell, but I’m certainly under no delusions that we’ll be hoisting the Cup this season. Of course, it IS the playoffs and yes, anything could happen…but chances are it won’t (/sad trombone)

As an aside, is this what its come to that our choice of champion might either be Big-Shiny-Brother (LAG) or the Our-Football-Is-Better-Than-Everyone’s Sounders? If that’s the case, I’ll be hibernating the next month or so

I will say this...

If the Dynamo were to find form in these last 2 games, I sincerely believe they might surprise teams in the playoffs. What is it going to take for them to find form?

Dom to get his head out of his ass and play Cam at CB for the remaining games, to play Hainault or Boswell opposite him at CB (Hainault preferred for speed over strength), Moffat at DM and Carmago at CAM/CM. It’s going to take Costly finally figuring out what the hell it is Forwards with pace are supposed to do when they have the ball (finish, oh and yeah, hold the ball up for others). It’s going to take Hall finding that Superhuman form again, which we all know he’s capable of. It’s going to take our outside backs suddenly becoming amazing.

Well, hell, I guess we really are screwed. It’s not impossible. Just improbable.

I actually think Hainault is slower than Boswell. Just look at the last game against the Timbers and notice how many times they took him on a breakaway. It has happened way too often so I would rather see Cameron/Boswell paired up at CB

I think it's about 50/50

The key is to use the sub at the 60-70 minute mark to keep fresh legs on the backline. Instead of at minute 75 or 80, when we’ve already been beaten.

Very true

too many times we see a sub coming in to late in the game to make an impact; if we need to make a difference, then the sub needs to come in around the 60 minute mark

As for Boswell-Hainault, Boz is probably the better overall CB, but I tend to think Hainault is more in our future plans (he’s younger and cheaper) so we should be getting him as many minutes as possible at the position he will most likely be manning. But of course, I’m not Kinnear :)

while that's true

I think we should be lining up the best men we have being that we only have two games left in the season without already having a playoff spot. These last 6 points are very important and we need to get the most possible so that we have a better chance of making the playoffs

Fair enough

whoever they decide to pair up with Cameron back there better be on their toes tonight because Portland is going to attack us non-stop…we will probably return the favor. This is one of those matches where counter-attacks will probably be more dangerous than attacks. We’ll find out in a few hours!

Basically, from what I can tell here...

If the Dynamo win both of the last two games, they are in. So, literally, both must wins. Where have I heard that before? Lol.

You cut me to the quick

Poor Ginge. He’s been basically yelling that for the past month or so, to mostly deaf ears (well, maybe not mostly but you get what I’m sayin’ :))

Once again, though, its tough but simple: just win, baby. Win both games and I think we’re in…draw and a win and we’re cutting it close. So in that sense, yes, it is entirely up to us
