Game Notes:

The Houston Dynamo Reserves improved to 5-4 on the season by breezing to a 3-0 win over the first-place Chicago Fire Reserves Saturday evening at Robertson Stadium, led by two goals from rookie forward Will Bruin. Goalkeeper Tyler Deric earned his fifth shutout of the season.

Houston opened the scoring via Bruin in the 12th minute with his first MLS Reserve League goal of the year. Forward Calen Carr dribbled to the left endline and cut the ball back to Bruin, who finished with his right foot from close range.

Bruin, playing in just his third reserve game of the season, scored again in the 25th minute, when he finished a Jason Garey cross from inside the penalty area. The Dynamo made it 3-0 in the 42nd minute when former Chicago forward Calen Carr fired a shot into the top right corner after his initial effort was blocked.

Dynamo Academy defender Bradley Bourgeois (Cy-Fair) played the entire second half at center back.

The Dynamo Reserves have one game remaining, a make-up contest at Sporting Kansas City on Tuesday, October 18.

Hey

from what I understand he may have proven more of a factor against Chicago than Costly/Carr…but of course, we’re back in coulda/woulda/shoulda land again (at this point we should probably get a timeshare there)
