Ah
that’s some good grass there sir…Damon, TX. Sadly, I know exactly where that is and quite possibly passed by where they’re growing the grass (used to live near Guy, TX)
And fair play to CHI for at least expressing interest in Ferdinand…I realize he’s probably not a glamorous or “sexy” pick, but he still has a few (2-3) years of good MLS play in him, he’d be a great option at the back for them (an older, more experienced Cameron, if you will) plus a threat on corners and set-pieces. Now, how much they’re willing to pay (and of course, whether or not this is intended to make Spurs step up to the plate with an offer) remains to be seen
After watching that ridiculous plastic pitch in Seahawk Stadium last night and multiple times, you have no idea how great it is to read that story about the real grass, the real grass on which the assembled mass of deities themselves decreed that this game should be played. If I have to see another plastic pitch passed off as the real thing again, I think I’m going to scream (which I might just do when Dynamo play in the artificial, though friendly, confines of Jeld-WEN next week).
Not only that, but with the power of my Google Fu, I have found the following story (click here) about Damon that might illuminate how special the grass from there might just be. Sonic screwdrivers al around, everyone?
