Well
why even bother playing, if apparently any and all coverage is basically the pre-coronation of LA? Yes I know, they have the most talented (and expensive?) team in MLS: say hello to MLS’ answer to the Yankees! In fairness, they SHOULD win, at least on paper, but even if they come out guns blazing I’m pretty sure they’re gonna take a metaphoric fist to the solar-plexus on the 20th. So we’ll see how they respond to that. I was reading some MLS coverage on the Guardian the other day and someone paid them a compliment by saying they had “a touch of the Stoke” in them. And considering Stoke’s form the past couple of seasons, that’s been a compliment as they’ve harassed the heavyweights of EPL football. I see Houston doing the same thing and perhaps shocking the world. Boy oh boy, AEG and MLS would seriously hate that.
Can we seriously get one or two of our facilities team to be there at the stadium in case there’s any monkey business there?
And tip of the hat to Testo, its a difficult thing to disclose that…though I think of all the major sports, footie would be the most tolerant
/gives the stink-eye to certain groups of European fans
