YES
all that talk of “I’m a midfielder” can be squelched…now, if you want to try and become the American Lucio, that’s fine by me. Just remember: CB. That is all
Silly Season
And to kick off silly season, mls-rumors is reporting Dynamo looking at guatemalan forward/winger Marvin “Titi man” Avila.

Cameron at CB is just natural (it even said so in the article)
So glad Dom kicked those silly thoughts of being a MF in the groin now. That doesn’t mean Cam can’t move up on ocassion, and can’t provide another attacking option in games where we’re trailing. It just means “focus on the keep away aspect of the game”. No goals for the opposition, and at the least, you don’t lose.

And
he’s done as much near the end of the season and that’s all well and good but as you said: defense first. Then work on tricky runs up the middle and pass it off to the boys who can do something positive with it
I did like what I read in the article
When Cameron said specifically the one thing he disliked most as a Mid was how his backline would pass the ball out, instead of feeding him. That shows a bunch of different things, but the main thing is it shows he understands what the Dynamo need to have from him. Distribution forward, and not just out wide.

I agree
and that’s one of the benefits of his time in midfield is understanding the “process” of starting an attack, and in the better teams you’ll see it starts from the back, through the middle and up to the front. He has the talent to start those smart passes or runs out of the back, so hopefully once we get more midfield help and some help up top we’ll see that well-oiled machine humming along, and Cameron is a key cog in that machine
