Pat Onstad Resumes Playing Career, This Time For D.C. United
Continuing the busiest offseason of any non-expansion MLS side, DC United announced this evening that new assistant coach Pat Onstad will also be new goalkeeper Pat Onstad. The move was somewhat forced on the club after Steve Cronin broke his wrist in training and will miss the next eight to ten weeks. United's other potential starter, Bill Hamid, is also not ready to play as he continues to recover from offseason shoulder surgery. | BlackandRedUnited.com

I read this
And immediately was hoping he’d stick around as a player just one more season. Or at least long enough for the match against DC United here in Robertson. The guy is a class act and I hope nothing but the best for him no matter how long he continues to play for them (though I don’t suspect it will be too too long).
Onstad is class and a legend but it was time for Tally Hall to get his chance. This is what the Dynamo signed him for a couple season ago.

Yeah.
I suppose I should’ve clarified my comment to mean not with the Dynamo for one more season. Mostly because I just want the opportunity to thank him as a fan for his time with the Orange. He really deserves so much credit for this new stadium we will enjoy in a year plus a little.
