I completely agree with Jordan in regard to Geoff Cameron

His first touch has made him look uncomfortable overall, which doesn’t look well.

Feilhaber?

REALLY? Wow. Should I start the #Feilhaber2Houston train now?

Jordan...

Also made a HELL of a point regarding the option of trading Geoff Cameron

Oh, and Zach,

Don’t lie, you would NOT give up Davis. That’s totally different than “listening” to an offer of Brad for Feilhaber. Haha. Way to go Jordan and Darrell, talking Zach into reconsidering.

I have to say it's likely Chivas pass on Feilhaber as do New England...

But Philly? I’m not sure they would pass. It’s going to be tough to watch if he goes elsewhere and the Dynamo get the opportunity to get him.

Thanks for all the love

I’m glad you enjoyed the show. I think this one may be our best yet.

Canetti said he didn't think there was a realistic shot at getting Feilhaber last night on the radio

They are looking at it, and sounded like they would like to add him, but he didn’t seem to think there would be an opportunity for us. Glen Davis interviewed and Koke and Kinnear last night too so it’s worth checking out that podcast. I added my thoughts from it to the “where does Koke fit” article too, but basically Koke doesn’t view himself as an out and out striker or an out and out playmaker, but more of a second striker playing off the other one. He called himself a 9 1/2. That’s pretty much how I envision him being used, but we will have to see how it all plays out. Kinnear didn’t get very detailed, but he only discussed him as a forward and about the competition they will have at that position now.

I agree on Cameron too. Besides the missed chances, my biggest complaint from Sunday was the inability of Cameron and Palmer to break down NE’s central mid fielders. Especially since their two starters were out. Cameron made some nice runs forward to put himself in a dangerous position(probably what he does best right now), but he didn’t do much to drive the attack. He had some sloppy first touches and errant passes early in the game, and never seemed to find the rhythm of the match. Palmer didn’t have an especially good game either. He seems to really enjoy turning around and facing his own goal a lot. Nothing wrong with resetting the attack, but I would like to see him be able to find a pass up field occasionally as well. I can’t think of one time where he made a tackle, or intercepted a pass, to break up an attack before it got really started like Rico used to do either. I get a little excited when he lines ones up from distance too, but he hasn’t been able to put those type of chances consistently on goal…or at least close enough to scare the GK. Although, I can’t think of anytime he did anything to hurt us either, and with the way the defesne has been playing I really shouldn’t complain

I was really hoping Palmer and Cameron would be able to use the absence of NE’s regular starters to build some confidence. NE did seem to pack the middle a little though maybe in an effort to cover up that weakness.

Most teams are

Knowing the Dynamo are weakest down the spine at the moment.

As for the 9 1/2 comment, it’s basically exactly how I view Koke. He’s not the target man, but he can play off the target guy. Meaning Ching, or Bruin when Chinger needs a rest or is injured or going forward after this season, will be that target guy. Koke will feed off Ching or Bruin, and that’s where the majority of his playmaking ability will be most utilized. I’ve always said I see Dom needing the 2nd forward to play an offset position, just set slightly back of the first. This allows for the most strategic view of the goal in front, and also allows to still view the wings out wide as outlets without cramming the box too much and missing out on chances.

Koke fits the role of the offset striker so well, because it requires a good mix of both striking and playmaking, and as he’s said himself he basically is that build.

Apparently,

According to shinguardian, the Dynamo have the best shot to nab Feilhaber, though the Revs are close in the odds “matrix”. He did say he wouldn’t be surprised if Philly nabbed Feilhaber simply with the intent to trade him to some other team. I guess we’ll know soon enough.
