And of course, Bouna was just protecting his area. What a f***ing crock. That was a clear penalty and Coundoul should have been shown the door.
Oh well, at least this takes all the drama out of wondering if MLS has finally gotten around to improving the officiating this season. We all know the answer to that now, don’t we?

I was not surprised at all that there was no call
GK’s get away with just about anything. If any other player on the field goes in for a challenge like that, completely misses the ball, and hammers the attacking player that hard it’s yellow at minimum. Bouna did it twice in a short span of time. One was a shot to the head, and the other was the one that really did the damage. Even so, the fact that you never see that type of call being made against a keeper is at least consistent. That’s more than you can say about most of the refereeing decisions in the league. Until MLS and/or FIFA decide to start protecting strikers in that situation it will continue to be called that way.
