Mike Chabala Wants You To Help Shave Ginge's Head, For a Great Cause

On June 11th at Robertson Stadium, Dynamo defender Mike Chabala, fans and families of pediatric cancer patients will be hosting the 3rd Annual "Bald is Beautiful" celebration from 4:30pm to 7:30pm prior to Houston's match against Chivas USA.

I will be covering the event for the blog to help raise awareness about not just this event but all the work The Curing Children's Cancer Fund does in the effort to find a cure for childhood cancer by providing financial support for some of the country's leading pediatric cancer researchers.

As part of this event, I'm putting my hair on the line to help Mike and the CCCF reach their event goal of shaving 100 heads and raising $50,000.

I've been growing my hair out for nearly a year and I'm challenging my readers, friends and family to help raise $250 so my hair goes bye-bye on June 11th for a great cause. I promise there will before and after pictures as well for you to enjoy.

Um um (tappin ur shoulder BUT NOT YET UR BALD HEAD)

This karmic payback for the trade Chewey piece? Or did he instigate that and send you a case of Guiness as repayment?

Niether, I knew this event was coming and decided to participate. Figured it would be fun.

Didn’t expect an answer, much less a serious one to my nonsense :)

That is too bad. We need to try and get a message from him through the University of Michigan athletic office. Hey, I don’t need to work today!! (Right.)

Tonight

Do you know if there is an official/unofficial viewing party for the game tonight? Basically anywhere with beer and other dynamo fans is good with me

Sorry I didn’t see this until today, for future reference, Texian Army has watching parties at the Orange Bar. The team official ones rotate around.
