Though I think Brad Davis would make a great USMNT player, I am personally not concerned at all about no Dynamo players going to the USMNT. As it is, we’re going to lose probably four players to this tournament, all three Jamaicans and Andre Hainault. That is going to put some serious hurt on our back line, especially in central defense. At this point, my concern is that Jordan Graye and Johnny Rocco may be each half a player, but together they do not make a whole. June might turn out to be tough if the backline is shaky.

It’ll hurt, but it’s going to hurt a lot of other teams. Plus MLS, limited the schedule in June so there are only four matches for Houston (@SJ, Chivas USA, Crew, @DC).

I don’t if I would call it limiting Zach. They play one game every weekend in June and then continue that with all five Saturdays (plus the Charities Cup friendly with Bolton) in July.
Nothing against either Canada or Jamaica, but I hope their stay in the Gold Cup is pleasant, happy and very, very short.

Just Jamaica...
I can live without Hainault for a few weeks, though I think the guy is our 2nd most stout CB, Taylor is up there and would be fine if healthy to cover for him.

Losing the jamacains will be brutal
Hainult being gone would be OK if Taylor was around to start at CB. Now we’re looking at Boswell and Robinson. Robinson looked completely outclassed in his only minutes this year. If Palmer and Watson are gone who is going to pair with Cameron?

You move Koke back to CAM and move Cam to CDM, of course...
And basically that’s what I’m saying. Jamaica’s stay in the Gold Cup needs to be short, but sweet for them. Canada’s stay can be as short or long as they can go. Hainault is only one man on the backline (though a stellar one man), and I believe Taylor can cover the loss until he gets back, which is why Jamaica needs to get out of the Gold Cup quickly.

we will need to be almost completely injury free during the time the Jamacains are gone
otherwise some of the young guys are going to have to play before they are really ready. Which could be a good thing…or a really bad thing

Not Sold
I don’t believe the Hernandez rumors for one second. The front office has made it clear they are not looking for washed up 35 year olds.
