Let's see

how things turn out…if we can get a young, skilled midfielder like Camargo to pair with Costly and Ching we could actually have a (gasp) midfield on our hands. So we could play it wide or up top…giving us options as opposed to long balls and set pieces. Camargo is still young (23 or 24y/o) and if we could start establishing relationships with clubs down there this could be the beginning. I’m cautiously optimistic about it, but I’ll wait to say more until the ink is dry

Shalrie to Houston?

Found the following on duNord

“@kylemartino My heart skip a beat when I just read the news..I know I won’t be back next year so am just happy to give it all this year.”
-Shalrie Joseph of the New England Revolution reacting to the news from Kyle Martino that the Revs had signed a Designated Player forward.

What does this mean? Joseph is in the last year of his contract.

How great would it be to get that guy here? He would fit into the attack like a glove.

We had a guy like him once

Serioux. And he fizzled out when he came here the second time, granted he was MUCH much older.

Why not

if the price is right, I realize he’s already got miles on him but if we can get him on a cheap contract I say do it. As I mentioned on another post, if things don’t work out with Costly after the season (assuming he does actually sign the deal) we need some type of backup, and I’d rather have a bird in hand ready to insert immediately who I think could still contribute

I agree with this

As long as he is not our first option, then yes.

Exactly

and again, assuming the price would be right…if that would be the case, I think he could make for a nice sub to use in the 60th or 70th minute to add another wrinkle to the attack. Used wisely he could be a very nice addition
