Four Houston Dynamo players have found themselves called up for International Team duty for the upcoming World Cup Qualifying matches. Following this Saturday's match against Montreal Impact, Boniek Garcia will travel with the Honduran National Team for a match in Panama City on October 12th, and then travel with the national team back to Honduras to face Canada on October 16th.
Canada, and our beloved Ginger Canadian Andre Hainault, face Cuba on the 12th in Canada, then travel to Honduras to take on Los Catrachos (the Honduran National Team) on October 16th. This will be a fun one to watch as club teammates Boniek Garcia and Andre Hainault square off, though it is far from the first time two Dynamo players have faced each other at the International level.
Jermaine Taylor and JeVaughn Watson will join the Reggae Boyz for Jamaica's match against Guatemala on October 12th in Guatemala and then travel with the Jamaican National Team to face Antigua and Barbuda at home in Jamaica. Surprisingly, MLS made sure to not schedule matches during this upcoming World Cup Qualifying round, and thus none of the players should miss time with the club.
Do you expect exhaustion to be a possible factor leading up to the Dynamo's final home match against Philadelphia Union on October 20th? With such a critical match which could quite literally break the entire Houston Dynamo season looming, one has to hope all four return sans injury or fatigue, but it can certainly happen.
