Calen Carr suffers torn ACL, out indefinitely

The Houston Dynamo officially announced forward Calen Carr suffered a torn ACL during the MLS Cup final.

He will undergo several weeks of prehabilitation, before needed surgery to repair the knee. No date is set at this time.

Sad news for Carr who has excelled in a starting role for the Dynamo over the last two seasons.

HOUSTON, TX (Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012) - Houston Dynamo forward Calen Carr suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in the MLS Cup Final against the LA Galaxy on Saturday, it was announced today.

Carr will undergo several weeks of prehabilitation prior to having surgery to repair the knee. The surgery date is yet to be determined. A time table for Carr's return to the field will be established after the surgery.

Carr, 30, scored the opening goal in Saturday's MLS Cup Final after setting a career-high with four regular season goals. Carr also recorded two postseason assists after netting two in the regular season. The Berkeley, Calif. native set career-highs in starts (17) and minutes played (1,512) in the regular season.
