Take a look all!

I heard about a winger/striker from Peruvian side Sporting Cristal having a chance to come to MLS and decided to see where he might be going.

Turns out, he's a right sided midfield, with blazing speed, and technical skill on the ball worth talking about. He's also been capped by the Peruvian seleccion. Why don't we just call them the red stripes and have a drink in hopes that this actually happens?.

So I tweeted back and forth with Ortiz and Glenn Davis about it. Ortiz says there has been contact and Glenn asks Dom about it on the air tonight (Mon April 9th). Dom confirms it too!

So, before we all too excited (more red stripe?) Here are a couple of links worth checking out.

He has been linked to a ton of clubs in europe since last year at this time. Nothing about the deal not happening, though... so I'm not sure if that was just saber rattling to make a move and now that its clear that won't happen his agent is looking stateside.

Anyway, check out some youtube videoes! Interestingly, they were posted as highlight reels around the same time the supposed interest from europe began.

Looks like he's clearly fast, and just based on those videos is pretty good on the ball as well. He is shown taking on defenders consistently and making good choices.

Certainly seems like a good idea give the midfield situation.
