The Houston Dynamo are headed to the fifth round of the Lamar Hunt Open Cup while their affiliate team the Pittsburgh Riverhounds are not.
The fourth round of the Open Cup was an exciting one. The Houston Dynamo found themselves with a surprisingly challenging game against the Laredo Heat who play in the PDL. In a game that ended 10v10 the Dynamo were able to come out on top scoring the games lone goal. Tuesday night, FC Dallas and San Antonio faced off to see who would face the Houston squad in round 5. Dallas was able to go up 2-0 and defeat the NASL team. Now Dallas will travel to Houston on June 24 to see who will advance to the next round of the tournament.
While Riverhounds time in the tournament has come to an end. The team lost 2-1 to the Chicago Fire on Wednesday night.
