Since MLS is taking a break for the World Cup (and we need to get our minds off last night), I have a question for DT readers - can a quality European manager be successful in MLS?
Now what do I mean by a quality European manager? I mean someone like Mourinho, Guardiola, or Sir Alex saying, "Hey, let's give this thing called MLS a try!" Would these managers be successful in a league with a strict salary cap (no picking up a new left back for a measly $25 million) and all the other quirks of MLS? So far, European managers have not have the best of luck in MLS.
So what say ye, would Sir Alex or Mourinho be as successful in MLS as they were in Europe? Or is MLS too tough a nut for them to crack? Let the debate begin.
