Neither side generated any really great chances but the Dynamo did get the better of the opportunities at least forcing a couple saves good from Matt Reis.
The first 30 minutes were controlled by the Dynamo who were able to hold the ball in the midfield as the Revolution parked the bus and absorb pressure trying to spring their forwards on the counter attack. The Revs allowed a lot of space 10 yards from the top of the box and had 6-8 players between that space and Reis.
The final 15 minutes saw the Revs turn the table and pressure the Dynamo defense, generating a lot of possession in and around the Dynamo box. Fortunately, the makeshift backline was up to the task and prevented New England from getting any good chances against Tally Hall. Geoff Cameron is looking strong and comfortable back in the central defense roll.
In the 14th minute, Revs fans held up "14" signs in honor of Steve Ralston.
Bobby Boswell and Shalrie Joseph got tangled up on a set-piece and Joseph ended up on the ground. Comcast SportsNet's Jay Heaps took exception to this and questioned Boswell's intelligence on the field. Heaps then spent the rest of the half complaining every time a Dynamo player breathed on a Revs player.
Most Amusing Moment of the Half: In the 20th minute, the Dynamo set-up a two man wall to defend a Revs free kick...they put Obodai and Ashe in the wall.
