According to the Jamaica Observer, defender Jermaine Taylor will head to Houston today or tomorrow for a physical and to finalize a deal with the team.
News surrounding the deal is still sketchy, as St George's Club president Everton King remains tight-lipped on the matter, saying that he could only talk to the press on Wednesday or Thursday.
Be that as it may only a failure of a medical by the player, the Observer was apprised, could ruin the deal.
The Observer says it has been "reliably informed" that the Dynamo have agreed with Taylor's current club, St. George's FC, on an undisclosed fee for the Jamaican international.
According to the report, the Dynamo scouted Taylor at the Digicel Caribbean Cup in November, a tournament won by Jamaica. The Dynamo have been silent, at least officially, concerning Taylor, with the only other news linking him to the team coming from Jesus Ortiz at the Chronicle. According to Ortiz, Taylor would be coming in on trial, but it now appears there could be a deal already in place.
If Taylor is indeed on his way, either as a new signing or on trial, we should see something official from the team in the next day or two.
UPDATE: The Dynamo confirmed today (Wednesday) that Taylor will be joining the team on trial. There is no deal yet in place for the defender.
