Game Notes:
The Houston Dynamo cruised to a 5-0 scrimmage victory over San Jacinto Junior College Monday morning at the Carl Lewis Track & Field Complex in Houston. The Dynamo remain unbeaten in preseason play with a 7-0-3 record and conclude their preseason schedule this weekend when they participate in the Atlanta Pro Soccer Challenge. Houston will face the Columbus Crew Friday night and the New England Revolution on Sunday afternoon.

In Monday's scrimmage, Houston opened the scoring in just the third minute, when Brad Davis converted a penalty kick after a handball was whistled against San Jacinto. Houston forward Cam Weaver added two goals in the first half, one set up by Dominic Oduro in the 19th minute and the other a header from a Brad Davis cross.

The Dynamo changed 10 of their 11 starters at halftime and added two more goals in the final stanza. In the 62nd minute, rookie forward Will Bruin played a long-range give-and-go with Danny Cruz, with Bruin applying the finishing touch for his fourth goal in two scrimmages. Two minutes later, Houston added its fifth goal when Alex Dixon scored from close range following a corner kick.

Houston goalkeeper Tyler Deric played the full 90 minutes for the first time this preseason and needed two saves to record the shutout. Defenders Andrew Hainault and Jordan Graye saw their first preseason action at outside back and center back, respectively. Supplemental draft pick Sergio Castillo, with the team during spring break from Creighton University, played 45 minutes in central midfield for the second straight match.
