On June 11th at Robertson Stadium, Dynamo defender Mike Chabala, fans and families of pediatric cancer patients will be hosting the 3rd Annual "Bald is Beautiful" celebration from 4:30pm to 7:30pm prior to Houston's match against Chivas USA.
I will be covering the event for the blog to help raise awareness about not just this event but all the work The Curing Children's Cancer Fund does in the effort to find a cure for childhood cancer by providing financial support for some of the country's leading pediatric cancer researchers.
As part of this event, I'm putting my hair on the line to help Mike and the CCCF reach their event goal of shaving 100 heads and raising $50,000.
I've been growing my hair out for nearly a year and I'm challenging my readers, friends and family to help raise $250 so my hair goes bye-bye on June 11th for a great cause. I promise there will before and after pictures as well for you to enjoy.
If you would like to participate and put your hair on the line, you can find out all the details here.
Here's how you can donate to get The Ginge to shave his head:
