2012 MLS Cup: Dynamo looking to send full squad to LA

Here at Dynamo Theory our goal is to provide you the best coverage online for the Houston Dynamo. As a blog, we have the unique ability to cover the team from a media standpoint, a fan standpoint, and offer a place for Dynamo fans to not only keep up with the team, but interact with other fans and our writers.

Leading up to the MLS Cup, Dynamo Theory will have you covered. It's the pinnacle of the MLS season - a chance to lift the crown once more. This year's MLS Cup will be special as it's also a rematch of 2011, one that has left a bad taste in Dynamo fan's mouths.

As we march towards December 1, we will keep you up to date on injuries, news, features, opinions, analysis, and more.

News / Notes

The good news is Houston may travel into LA with a full squad. Adam Moffat, Jermaine Taylor, and Ricardo Clark all made it back in the D.C. United game, which was a huge boost to the team. Clark, however, suffered an abductor strain and was subbed out. Reports from training today say Clark is aiming to be back to training on Sunday or Monday and is hopeful to play in the MLS Cup.

Calen Carr is working out on the side of practice and has yet to rejoin full training. MLSsoccer.com's Darrell Lovell says Carr is optimistic he'll be ready to go for the Dynamo on December 1.

Lastly in LA Galaxy news, I'm sure the entire worlds knows this by now, but David Beckham has announced the MLS Cup will be his last game in MLS. If you ask me (and no one has for the record), it's just poor timing to make an announcement like that. There are plenty of people complaining about the number 8 and 9 seeds playing for the cup, people complaining about a rematch of last year's cup, and now Beckham attempts to hog the limelight.

This MLS Cup will be a great one - with both teams looking quite different than the previous year. A media circus surrounding what Mr. Beckham will do next is just not what you'd like to have leading up to a championship game. While I can admit that Beckham's influence in MLS overall has been positive, the decision to announce this with two weeks leading up to the cup will be how I remember him for a while. I'm hoping we rain on his own parade for himself.

Tickets / Travel

Dynamo season ticket holders had an opportunity to buy tickets via an email link sent out shortly after the LA Galaxy clinched the other spot in the MLS Cup. According to the email, tickets reserved are in section 116 and 117. Recently, tickets went on sale to the general public through the Galaxy's website, but a search returned zero seats available as I typed up this post. Obviously there are a number of websites to aid with travel arrangements, but there has also been a Facebook page created for travelling fans.

Just like last year, I'm sure they'll be a sea of orange supporting the Dynamo again.

MLS Cup makes a stop in Houston (before returning permanently?)

The MLS Cup trophy was on display at BBVA Compass Stadium for fans to take pictures with, then out at Bar Munich during a Soccer Matter radio broadcast with Matt Peterson. This morning, the MLS Cup found it's way to the mayor's office.

Come December 1, the Dynamo will have an opportunity to make Houston its permanent home.
