Hot off the presses (so to speak), the Dynamo have announced a 16-game local Spanish language television broadcast deal with MultiMedios. MultiMedios had local Dynamo coverage from 2006-2009 and returns for the 2012 season to broadcast 16 games, all available in high definition.

Here's the press release on the deal:

HOUSTON, TX (Wednesday, February 8, 2012) -- The Houston Dynamo and Spanish-language television partner MultiMedios Houston have reached a broadcast agreement for the 2012 season, it was announced today.

As part of the partnership, MultiMedios will broadcast 16 Dynamo regular-season games starting on Saturday, March 17, when the Dynamo take on the San Jose Earthquakes. The partnership includes a weekly, 30-minute studio show and "Dynamo al Día," a daily 15-minute show that provides interviews and team-related content.

"We are pleased to announce this partnership with MultiMedios," said Dynamo president Chris Canetti. "It is the final piece to our 2012 broadcast platform, and rounds out the most impressive TV package in our brief history. Dynamo fans will now have an incredible option to view live games in Spanish as well as English."

MultiMedios (Comcast channel 325; U-Verse channel 3065; Wavevision channel 43) was previously a television partner of the Dynamo from 2006 to 2009. All game broadcasts will be available in high-definition.

"We at MultiMedios 43 are excited about our partnership with the Houston Dynamo," said Angel Perales, Operations Manager for MultiMedios Houston. "We welcome back the excitement and passion associated with the sport of soccer, something that we will attempt to grow even more by devoting all the resources of our organization to this relationship. We look forward to working with the Dynamo in 2012 and beyond."

Broadcasts will feature play-by-play broadcaster Ernesto Chavana and color analysts Willie Gonzalez and Heliodoro Hinojosa. A full schedule of Dynamo game broadcasts on MultiMedios is below.

The Dynamo will play their first seven games of the season on the road before opening BBVA Compass Stadium on May 12 against D.C. United. While single game tickets to Dynamo home games are not yet available, fans can purchase tickets to all games via Dynamo full and partial season ticket plans.
