When this post pops into existence on these here Interwebs, it will be exactly one day before the Houston Dynamo kick off the 2012 season against the lesser of the Chivases at the Home Depot Center, 6 p.m. Sunday, May 11.
(What's that you say? Daylight Savings what? Sure, just screw my premise with the government intervention why dontchya?)
Along the way in this countdown series (Installments Nine, Eight, Seven, Six, Five, Four, Three and Two can be seen when you click on them.), we have seen how the Houston Dynamo can mostly lay claim in some way or other to just about any number you can dial up. And well they can. Though the No. 1 just about sums up nicely the entire string.
Zach laid out an excellent tactical breakdown of tomorrow's game in the previous post. And tomorrow and on subsequent days there will be plenty to say as Dynamo make their push to host 2012 MLS Cup at BBVA Compass Stadium on Dec. 2. We are all experienced enough fans to know that every season has its ups and downs. However, there are certain primary truths we all know, and these remain constant for all of us:
One: Champion in Texas
One Downtown Home: BBVA Compass Stadium
One love: Orange in our hearts.
One coach: Dominic Kinnear
One and only: Captain Kamehameha
One MVP: Brad Davis
One Wall: Tally Hall
One XI: The one in Orange
One mission (and they have chosen to accept it): Win
So let's all join in:
Now, let me hear you say: Dale!
