Dynamo roster for CCL announced

The Dynamo have already announced the roster that they brought with them to Panama. Some familiar faces are missing, so look and see who made the trip and who didn't.

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Dynamo are already down in Panama, preparing for tomorrow night's CONCACAF Champions League finale against Arabe Unido. Despite the fact that the outcome of this match is crucial in deciding the hopes of the Dynamo in this tournament, they did not elect to bring their full roster with them, electing instead to rest several players in hopes that they'll be at full strength Sunday against DC United.

Here's the roster the Dynamo brought with them to Panama:

Dynamo Roster:

Goalkeepers: Tyler Deric, Tally Hall

Defenders: Anthony Arena, Corey Ashe, Bobby Boswell, Eric Brunner, Mike Chabala, Kofi Sarkodie

Midfielders: Servando Carrasco, Ricardo Clark, Warren Creavalle, Andrew Driver, Alexander López

Forwards: Giles Barnes, Will Bruin, Calen Carr, Omar Cummings, Jason Johnson, Cam Weaver

The biggest absences, at least to me, are Brad Davis and Boniek Garcia. Neither is normally a feature in CCL group stage matches for the Dynamo, but you have to wonder if there were other considerations taken into account (the personal safety of Brad Davis in Panama a week or so after his two assists helped knock the Panamanian national team out of World Cup qualifying, for example).

So, looking at the roster, any ideas on what the starting XI will look like tomorrow night?
