Time to be Thankful

'Tis the time to gather with family and friends and reflect on the past 12 months. Time to reflect on the Dynamo season lately ended.

Ups and downs, frustration and elation, joy and disappointment - yep, another typical Dynamo season. Which just makes me come back begging for more. So here are a few Dynamo things I am thankful for this season.

1. For Boniek's smile - always!

2. For making it as far as we did in the playoffs. I must bow my head with shame that I didn't even believe we would make the playoffs this year - I lost faith. In atonement, I will refrain from whipped cream on my pumpkin pie this Thanksgiving.

3. For setting the home win record this year.

4. For answering my pleas and having the knockout game against Montreal in BBVA on Halloween (The Great Pumpkin Rules!)

5. For our stable coaching and front office situations. Watching Chivas and Toronto churn through one coach after another and blow up their front offices, it makes me thankful for the stability we have here. (For those loyal Chivas and Toronto fans who have stayed with their clubs through all the mess, I award you the Soccer Purple Heart.)

6. For Brian Ching, for all those goals and bruises. Thank you.

7. For MLS. I remember the Bleak Ages - before MLS - when a domestic league was just a pipe dream. Now I can drive 30 minutes and attend a game in person or watch matches on tv or the internet.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
