Two of three Dynamo Academy teams are continuing their impressive run in the 2013 Dallas Cup and have advanced to the quarterfinals. The U-18 and U-14 teams are through after winning their groups, while the U-16s lost their final group match and were eliminated on Wednesday.
Dynamo Homegrown player Bryan Salazar will have an opportunity to add a Dallas Cup title to his accolades as he continues on with the U-18s for one last run. Salazar has four goals in three matches and scored a pretty nice goal in their second match of the tournament (video below).
What's Next
The U-18s won their final group match against Pateadores (California South) by a score of 3-1. Pateadores had previously been undefeated and only gave up one goal through their first two matches. Carlo Rojas, Irvin Ramirez, and Carlos Ibarra contributed to the scoreline for Houston.
The U-18s finished group play with a 3-0-0 (9 points) record and a 14-2 (+12) goal differential.
Next up for the U-18 squad will be an elimination match against Central California Blues, who won their group with a 3-0-0 record and 9-3 (+6) goal differential.

The U-14 Pre-Academy team won their final group match against IMG Academy (Florida) by a score of 3-0, but had to wait on other results to see if they would advance. They finished the group tied at the top of their group with Juventus Heat, but won the group based on goal differential.
Next up for the U-14s will be an elimination match against Chicago Magic PSG (Illinois), who won their group with a 2-1-0 (7 points) and a 7-2 (+5) goal differential.

The U-16s were eliminated from the tournament after falling 2-1 to TSF Ginga (New Jersey) in their final group match. Leading up to the match, the U-16s hadn't lost a competitive match in ten games (8 league, 2 Dallas Cup).
