Here's what happening in the wonderful world of Major League Soccer - no orange included.
Chicago Fire
Robbie Rogers has no interest whatsoever in playing for the Fire. Chicago Coach Frank Klopas has said that they want Rogers there. I wonder how much they want him and how much is grandstanding. Everyone expects that he will end up in LA where he wants to be the interesting part will be seeing what it takes to get him there. More importantly what if anything the MLS do to help it happen. Rogers met with the owner and president of the Fire on Wednesday.
"I kept my expectations low. It doesn't help to get your hopes up for things like that." Jeff Larentowicz on his red card appeal
Chivas USA
Dan Kennedy got a red card in the match against Sporting Kansas City. Following his ejections the team fell 4-0 to Sporting. I haven't been able to find out what Chelis thought of the card so I'm guessing that the Chivas staff got to him and put him in an undisclosed location.
I did manage to find a video on MLSsoccer.com called 'Inside the Mind of Chelis.' If you have 10 free minutes watch it.
Traded Juan Agudelo to the Revs in exchange for monopoly money. Word on the Boardwalk is that Agudelo wants DP money when his contract ends next year. When the team acquired Agudelo it was in a trade for Health Pearce with the Red Bulls. So would the Red Bulls take Mediterranean Avenue for Heath Pearce?
Colorado Rapids
German Mera is heading to the Rapids on loan from Deportico Cali a team in Columbia for the rest of the season pending work permit. The defender can play both centrally as well as out on the left with the Rapids hoping to bring more depth to their backline.
D.C. United
Black-and-Red United is really worried about Chris Pontius' groin. That's love right there.
LA Galaxy
I have but one comment
Montreal Impact
Coach Schallibaum compared the team to artists. However, his artists dropped two paint cans this week and tied against San Jose.
New England Revolution
Lee Nguyen is becoming a bobblehead! May 11 is set as his bobble night.
Philadelphia Union
The back line is about to get messy. Jeff Parke is battling a hamstring injury while Sheanon Williams received a red card at the end of the weekend's game.
Portland Timbers
Mikael Silvestre is out 6-9 months after tearing his ACL.
Real Salt Lake
RSL pulled out a 2-0 win over the Whitecaps this weekend.
Seattle Sounders
The team is looking at partnering with USL Pro team Phoenix FC who went off the board and are the Wolves rather than being the Phoenixes. If you check out their logo it looks pretty similar to that of Wolverhampton an English team that really likes relegation.
They would be interested in Robbie Rogers too by the way.
Sporting Kansas City
Chipotle party! Kei Kamara is back from his loan with Norwich City and to celebrate he went to Chipotle...with a bunch of Sporting fans. Kamara picked up the tag for the massive crowd that showed up. Clearly, he wants to spread his love of Chipotle to all of Kansas City. He is available to play with KC on Wednesday's game.
Toronto FC
They are starting a mass a collection of shiny new toys for loan. Both Steven Caldwell and Jeremy Brockie are on loan watch for TFC. Brockie is a former teammate of Ryan Nelson and will be looking to help TFC's up front attack while Caldwell would help to shore up the back line in central defense.
