Tonight, the biggest giants in CONCACAF go at it with different opponents, but the same goal in mind - three points. The United States Men's National Team are down in Jamaica for their next test in 2014 World Cup qualifying, while the Mexican National Team will face Panama.
The United States (1-1-1) faces Jamaica (0-2-2) in Kingston. The Red, White, and Blue will be looking to collect all three points with a Jamaica team that hasn't won a match and recently lost to Mexico earlier this week. Dynamo captain Brad Davis and goalkeeper Tally Hall are on the roster and will be hoping to see some minutes.
SB Nation has you covered with an in depth preview and a storystream to follow the match.
Mexico (1-3-0) sits atop the current standings with six points from four matches. They have been lackluster offensively, but have been mostly keeping their opponents off the scoreboard and settling for draws. So far, Mexico hasn't lost a match in this round. El Tri is coming off their first win of the fourth round of qualifying and will be looking to build on the positives from the Jamaica win.
They'll have to go through a tough Panama (1-2-0) who are also undefeated in this round.
Over at our sister blog, FMF State of Mind, there is a good feature predicting the lineup that Chepo de la Torre will field tonight.
Typically, we put up a specific gamethread, but since we share readers that are both United States and Mexico fans, feel free to sound off about anything going on today in this thread.
