Saturday morning updates: Injury report and availablity

The trade that went down yesterday afternoon actually produced some changes in the injury outlook for the Houston Dynamo going into the clash with the Philadelphia Union tonight. Read on to see what's changed.

USA TODAY Sports

With the furor around the Adam Moffat for Servando Carrasco + 2014 SuperDraft pick trade, Houston Dynamo fans could almost be forgiven to think that there are more important things at hand. Namely, a match later on today against the Philadelphia Union. The injury report was released yesterday - but before the trade went down, which means that it has changed. Here's the updated form:

Dynamo:

OUTCorey Ashe – Left hamstring strain; Eric BrunnerRight ankle sprain; Andrew DriverRight calf strain

QUESTIONABLE: Tyler Deric – Right thumb fracture; Calen CarrLeft knee

DISCIPLINARY SUMMARY: Boniek Garcia (MLS Disciplinary Committee – one-game suspension)

Union:

None

One thing that I think might have gotten overlooked yesterday is that the trade occurred shortly before the rosters froze. This means that if the Dynamo do pull off a turnaround, Carrasco would be eligible to play in the postseason. Timing seems to have been everything in this one.

As for the young midfielder, he'll wear the number 17. Carrasco will be in Philly this evening, and could conceivably even see the pitch. Thoughts on that, Dynamo fans?
