The Houston Dynamo received news that Doug Hall, the General Manager of BBVA Compass Stadium, has resigned and that the Dynamo ownership group has given its permission for Dynamo President Chris Canetti to take over the added responsibilities.
Given Canetti's extra duties, the Dynamo are expected to hire a Vice-President to serve as a Technical Director for the Dynamo staff. The move could be viewed as one to help alleviate some of the workload from Canetti, who has scouted and travelled with head coach Dominic Kinnear in the past, or could be viewed as a serious commitment towards moving on from the season which saw the Dynamo fail to make the playoffs.
What kind of changes does the future hold for the Dynamo? Was this just a plan B in case Kinnear does decide to take the San Jose coaching position? Or was it just a move to balance out responsibilities among the top brass? We'll keep you updated on any developments, but let us know what you think in the comments!
