Playing without their star goalkeeper Kimika Forbes who received a questionable red card in the game against Haiti last week, Trinidad, with the relatively new goalkeeper Tinesha Palmer, was able to hold Guatemala scoreless going into halftime. Trindad outshot Guatemala 6 to 2, with Ahkeela Mollon giving Trinidad two good goal attempts, but Guatemalan goalkeeper Alicia Navas would deny the goals.
Trinidad scored the first goal of the game in the 73' with a header from Kennya Cordner that would give Trinidad the lead. A penalty kick from Maylee Johnson in the 82' would put Trinidad up by two, but Guatemala would score a late goal in the 90' to make the final score 2-1.
