Tally Hall Traded to Orlando City SC

Houston’s number 1 goalkeeper will have a new home in Florida soon. The Dynamo traded Tally Hall for allocation funds which gives the team some cap flexibility moving forward.

Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

This off-season was expected to be one of the busiest in Houston Dynamo history and it has not stopped yet. First, the Dynamo received news that they were moving back to the Western Conference, and now Tally Hall has been traded to Orlando City SC. That's right!  Our starting goalkeeper since Pat Onstad retired is on his way out after 6 years in Houston.

The trade, which sends Hall to Orlando in exchange for an undisclosed allocation sum, frees up some cap room. Darrell Lovell also reported that the decision for the move was made prior to his injury. This makes Tyler Deric our new number 1 goalkeeper, who has stepped in quite ably for Hall following his ACL tear.

Tally was a great presence while he was here in Houston and even earned a few call-ups to the US National Team. We will all miss Hall and wish him the best in Orlando. Get ready Dynamo fans because the off-season ride is just beginning, and what we've seen so far is that the front office is taking it very seriously.
