In September, a well publicized news story amongst the soccer community claimed Canadian National Team player Kaylyn Kyle had signed a deal with FieldTurf, which will be used in two-thirds of the stadiums for the 2015 Women's World Cup. With a lawsuit brewing against the Canadian Soccer Association and FIFA regarding the use of artificial turf, the announcement came with varied reactions across the soccer community.
Today, the Saskatchewan native addressed publicly for the first time the supposed deal explaining that while she has played on turf a lot due to the weather, she does not have a contract with the company.
