McLeod, Kyle & Sesselmann Called up to National Camp

Canada Head Coach John Herdman announced Wednesday he will be evaluating 33 players for the 23 spots to represent Canada in next year's Women's World Cup. Dash allocations Erin McLeod, Kaylyn Kyle and Lauren Sesselmann were among the list of players that will be rotating through camp hosted in Burnaby, British Columbia.

McLeod is often the starting keeper for Canada as well as the Dash, while Kyle has been a mainstay in the midfield as well. Sesselmann, who was recovering from an ACL tear sustained during Cyprus Cup training, did not play during the 2014 NWSL season.

Canada will take on defending Women's World Cup champions Japan in two games later this month in Edmonton and Vancouver. The last time these two teams met, Japan came out on top with a 2-1 victory at the 2012 London Olympics.
