The US Men's National team has released its 25 man roster for upcoming friendlies against Columbia on November 14th and against The Republic of Ireland November 18th. The roster consists mostly of those that made the journey to the 2014 World Cup with a few surprises and a few omissions, but among those called up was 2014 World Cup veteran and Houston Dynamo defender DaMarcus Beasley.
Beasley's inclusion in the squad comes just a few months after he made it clear that he had no plans to retire. Beasley said back in July, "I'm not going to give that position away easily. I'm gonna fight until my legs can't run, until Jurgen says we're going another way". It's unclear whether or not this is Beasley's swan song with the USMNT, but one thing that is clear is he hasn't given up on playing at the highest level.
