The 2014 Re-Entry Draft took place this afternoon and it was over just as soon as it began with most clubs opting to pass including our Houston Dynamo.
Last season, D.C. United was able to turn their form around in just an off-season going from the bottom of the table in 2013 to the top of the Eastern Conference this year in large part to their defensive picks in the Re-Entry draft. It's harder to tell how this draft will turn clubs around with Sporting Kansas City losing two goalkeepers, but Robbie Findley to Toronto FC could help the Red's woes.
Stage Two of the Re-Entry Draft will take place on December 18th and clubs will have the right to negotiate terms with the players, something they weren't able to do in Stage One.
