Last year the Dynamo had trouble putting the ball in the back of the net, whether it be our lack of forward talent or just the injuries bug hitting us throughout the year at the attacking positions. Never the less the Dynamo front office has done a fantastic job to rectify this and bring in the necessary talent. One major signing has been Erick Torres who played for Chivas USA and scored 15 goals with the now disbanded club. However, an under the radar signing I am excited about is the signing of Chandler Hoffman.
Chandler Who?
Chandler Hoffman is a 24-year-old striker who played for the LA Galaxy, mostly with their USL Pro Team in 2014. The 24-year-old scored 14 goals on 19 appearances with the USL Pro side and made 8 appearances for the First Team in MLS.
Chandler will bring some youth to a team that has some older players and will be a strong vital attacking player off of the bench. Chandler's main strength seems to be his speed that he uses to get behind the back lines and use superb finishing skills.
After doing well in the USL Pro look for Chandler to be able to come in as a substitute and provide a attacking force late in the game and with my prediction he will back 6-8 goals by the end of the season and in big games none the less.
