Canada Soccer recently announced their shortlist nominees for the 2014 Canada Soccer player awards and somewhat unsurprisingly, Dash goalkeeper and captain Erin McLeod was listed among the seven. For Canada, McLeod made six starts in 2014 while playing in seven games and posting one shutout. League-wise, McLeod recorded 83 saves in 20 games, securing the second-most in the 2014 NWSL season and was often credited with keeping Houston (and it's struggling defense) in games.
The BMO Canadian Players of the Year are voted upon by Canadian media and Canadian coaches, with the winners expected to be announced the week of December 15-19, 2014.
