Traveling to Texas A&M Wednesday, the Houston Dash continued their winning ways in preseason with a solid 3-1 win against the college women's soccer time at Ellis Field, according to a press release from the team.

The Dash defense was tested from the get go as Texas A&M put immediate pressure on the backline. An early attack by the Aggies saw a blocked cross land to an unmarked Mikaela Harvey on the far side of goal. Once she had control, Harvey took the shot, but it was deflected to another Texas A&M player, Allie Bailey. Bailey had a close-range attempt that Dash goalkeeper Erin McLeod was able to put a hand on. The ball still slipped pass McLeod and gave Texas A&M the early lead.

The response from the Dash was quick, however. Six minutes later, they would tie up the match. Midfielder Jordan Jackson played a ball into Kealia Ohai. A cheeky backheel from Ohai back to Jackson saw the midfielder netting her second goal of the preseason.

The wind would play a factor in the game as for the rest of the first half, both teams tried shots on goal from distance. Bailey nearly gave Texas A&M the lead again and notched a brace in the 36th minutes as she took a shot, catching McLeod off her line. But the ball nicked the top of the crossbar.

The tie would break at the end of the first 45. After a one-on-one battle with a Texas A&M defender, Ohai would take a shot from the right side of the box and net the Dash's second goal.

The goalposts ended up seeing most of the action in the second half, with Houston nearly scoring three more times before finally netting their third goal of the match. Forward Ella Masar was on the end of two scoring attempts during the match; the first was just after the halftime break, when she clipped the top of the bar. The second would be an attempted volley in the 85th minute. Masar would finally score the final goal of the match from a through-ball from Dash trialist Dominque Richardson.

The Dash's final preseason match before their April 12 inaugural match will be Saturday, April 5 against the Houston Aces as part of a doubleheader with the Houston Dynamo's Texas Derby match vs. FC Dallas.
