Tony Cascio out for the season

Dynamo lose Cascio to torn ACL.

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Tony Cascio underwent surgery for a torn ACL on Wednesday. The left knee injury is expected to keep him out for the remainder of the season.

Cascio was on loan to the Houston Dynamo from the Colorado Rapids via the intra league loan system in MLS. So far this season he had suited up in orange five times, starting in four games. He has started 26 of the 47 games he has played in MLS.

This is just the latest injury in what appears to be an increasing injury report for the team. Defender Eric Brunner is out for six weeks following ankle surgery. Team captain Brad Davis just returned after missing a few games due to an ankle injury. While the status of Ricardo Clark is still not exactly known after he sustained a concussion in the Dynamo's game against the New York Red Bulls and missed their last one against the Portland Timbers.

As the bench continues to thin the team may call back players who are currently out on loan to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
