Preview
Saturday is the lone edition of the Texas Derby in 2014 and the winner will retain El Capitán, the howitzer cannon awarded to the season series winner.
The Dynamo are 9-4-7 all-time in regular season games against FC Dallas and have won the season series in five of eight seasons. Houston is 6-1-3 in home games against Dallas, including a 2-1 win in June 2012 in the lone encounter at BBVA Compass Stadium. FC Dallas ended Houston's two-year hold of the cannon with a 3-2 win at Toyota Stadium last March.
