Brazil vs Germany
Kickoff 3pm CT
The first of the two semi-final games will pit host country Brazil against Germany. Brazil will face a tough test after they lost their star player Neymar to a broken vertebrae at the end of their last game against Colombia. Brazil will also be missing centerback Thiago Silva who received a yellow card last game that puts him out against Germany due to card accumulation. Brazil as a whole have been underwhelming this tournament and have been dependant on Neymar to get them this far. Germany on the other hand seems to be growing stronger. Their goalkeeper Manuel Neuer hasn't given up a regular time goal in the last three games. The defense has come together and without Neymar to contain they stand a good chance at shutting down the Brazilian attack. The biggest problem for Germany will be if their own strikers can score goals. Mario Gotze and Mesut Ozil haven't done much this tournament and Thomas Muller has not scored a goal in the last two games.
