Tour de Cure to Stop Diabetes

Saturday, September 21, Houston Dynamo Organization will be putting together a team in the American Diabetes Association’s "Tour de Cure".  The team has gathered around 110 riders and this will be the Dynamo’s fourth year participating in the Tour de Cure.

The Tour fights against diabetes and offers a bike race suitable for many fitness levels. It is the only one of its kind in all of Texas! It begins and ends at AutoNation Nissan Katy.

The ride is tiered to fit any skill. It begins at 10 miles, for those who wish to join the cause but are not confident in their ability to bike. For those wishing to challenge themselves a bit more, greater distances of 27 and 47 miles are available. 63 and 100 miles are also available for those really looking to go the distance.

What better way is there to test your fitness than against a Houston legend? Houston Dynamo Organization’s very own Brian Ching will be riding with the Dynamo team. Riders wishing to register online for the Tour may do so. Cost of registration is $25. The ADA is asking that riders meet a fundraising minimum of $200 in addition to the registration fee. For those feeling a little less adventurous but still want to support the cause, you can support individual riders and help them meet their own fundraising goal!
