The Houston Dash announced Wednesday they have resigned forward Tiffany McCarty for the 2015 NWSL season. According to a press release from the club, terms of the deal were not release per team and league policy.

The 24-year-old forward was acquired by the Dash from the Washington Spirit as part of the 2014 NWSL Expansion Draft. A former Florida State player, McCarty appeared in 20 matches in 2014 for the Dash, starting 11 of those games. She finished the season tied with two others for the team lead in goals, tallying four total, and notching one assist during the year.

As with the case of many Dash players in the off-season, the club also stated McCarty would go on a three-month loan to Albirex Niigata Ladies, a team in the Japanese L. League, beginning Oct. 1. The Dash forward was previously on loan with Niigata after the 2013 NWSL season; she started eight matches during that time, including the Empress's Cup Final, where she scored two goals.

An exact date was not given, but McCarty will return to Houston before the start of the 2015 NWSL season.
