The Canadian Women's National Team kicked off 2015 in Shenzhen, China on January 11th in a match that began with the team trailing Korea Republic by a lone goal scored by Yue Minji in the 34th minute. Canada rebounded in the second half however and newcomer Janine Beckie scored off a pass by Allysha Chapman. Shortly after, a corner kick from Sophie Schmidt found Christine Sinclair, but it would be Kadeisha Buchanan that would send it past the Korean goalkeeper.
