Canada Wins Four Nations Cup

Goals from Adriana Leon and Christine Sinclair catapult Canada over Mexico securing Canada 1st Place in the 2015 Four Nations Cup.

Canada Soccer

Coming off a 2-1 victory over the Korean Republic, Canada continued to show it's dominance on the pitch with a 2-1 win over Mexico on January 13th. The teams entered halftime scoreless, but Canada put the first point on the board in the second half with a goal by Adriana Leon. Mexico's Charlyn Corral would answer it with a goal of her own, but Christine Sinclair would score the game-winning goal shortly after.

Starting keeper Erin McLeod has seen no playing time this tournament, but it has mattered little as back-up keeper Stephanie Labbe as proved more than efficient in goal. Due to the layout of the tournament, the Korean Republic can tie Canada on points, but the tie breaker would come from the head-to-head result. As of the January 13th games, the points are as follows:

Canada, 6pts
Korea Republic, 3pts
China, 1pt
Mexico, 1pt

Canada will next face China on January 15th- a game in which a live stream should be available.
