The 21-year-old from St. Simons, GA from the University of Virginia was taken with the first pick of the 2015 NWSL draft by the Houston Dash. A college standout who also plays on the US national team, Brian was a highly sought-after player. With a high soccer IQ and skills on the ball, Brian will bring creativity to a midfield that was at times lacking last season.

Since 2011 Brian played 81 games for Virginia and started 78 games. She has scored 41 goals and had 43 assists for the University. This season alone she scored 10 goals and added 13 assists with four of her goals coming during the NCAA tournament. She lead the team to the College Cup final the last two seasons, but the team failed to capture the National title. Last week Brian was announced as this year's MAC Hermann Trophy winner. She has also won the award last season. She was also TopDrawerSoccer.com's Player of the Year for the second year in a row.

A player on the USWNT, she is currently in the mix for the team heading to Canada for the Women's World Cup this summer. She has 16 caps with the senior team and was announced as the 2014 US Soccer Young Athlete of the Year. In 2014 she started nine times with the USWNT and scored two international goals. She was also the only collegiate player on the roster for CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying.

Last week we talked with Brian about the USWNT, UVA and going pro. You can check the article out here.
