USWNT January camp to include two Dash players

Klingenberg, Lloyd make Ellis' roster

U.S. Women's National Team head coach Jill Ellis called up 29 players for a January training camp U.S. Soccer announced in a press release Friday. The 21-day camp will begin Jan. 5 at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, Calif., and will mark the official kick off of the USA's Women's World Cup campaign.

Twenty four of the players were recently a part of the team in Brazil for the International Tournament of Brasilia and Ellis has added several veterans with her remaining spots - midfielder Shannon Boxx, defender Rachel Van Hollebeke, goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart and midfielders Kristie Mewis and Allie Long. This camp will start a long set of training sessions and matches in 2015 as Ellis and the coaching staff start the process of narrowing down players for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup roster. The tournament will kick off in Canada in June.

This January camp is ahead of two USWNT matches that will take place in Europe; the first against France Feb. 8 and the second a match up with England Feb. 13. The USA's 2015 schedule for the run-up to the Women's World Cup will be announced soon, according to U.S. Soccer.

The entire January roster is as follows:

GOALKEEPERS: Nicole Barnhart (FC Kansasa City), Ashlyn Harris (Washington Spirit), Alyssa Naeher (Boston Breakers), Hope Solo (Seattle Reign FC).

DEFENDERS: Lori Chalupny (Chicago Red Stars), Crystal Dunn (Washington Spirit), Whitney Engen (Western NY Flash), Julie Johnston (Chicago Red Stars), Meghan Klingenberg (Houston Dash), Ali Krieger (Washington Spirit), Kelley O'Hara (Sky Blue FC), Christie Rampone (Sky Blue FC), Becky Sauerbrunn (FC Kansas City), Rachel Van Hollebeke (Portland Thorns FC).

MIDFIELDERS: Shannon Boxx (Chicago Red Stars), Morgan Brian (Virginia), Tobin Heath (Portland Thorns FC), Lauren Holiday (FC Kansas City), Allie Long (Portland Thorns FC), Carli Lloyd (Houston Dash), Kristie Mewis (Boston Breakers)., Samantha Mewis (UCLA), Heather O'Reilly (FC Kansas City), Megan Rapinoe (Seattle Reign FC).
