Thanks to goals from Mauro Manotas and Chandler Hoffman the Houston Dynamo snagged a 4-0 win over Santos Laguna in the long waited for Dynamo Charites Cup on Saturday.
Julio Gonzalez, the goalkeeper for Santos Laguna, made the initial save on a great shot from Brad Davis, but Mauro Manotas was there to get it in on the second effort and to put Houston up 1-0 in the first half.
The second goal from Manotas was a penalty kick that snuck right into the corner of the net.
Chandler Hoffman came in for Manotas in the 76th minute and picked up right where Manotas left off. Hoffman scored in the 82nd minute and followed it up with a second goal two minutes later. The fourth goal for the Dynamo was a beautiful penalty kick taken by Hoffman.
The game was a fun one as players like Michael Lisch and Memo Rodriguez got the chance to play in front of the home crowd at BBVA.
